‘Places you are not breathing in’

Performed 19.05.19 - Silent Green, Berlin, DE

Co-written and performed with Clara Amaral

Inhale places you are not breathing in but still go to

Exhale people with whom you’d enjoy breathing some breaths more

Inhale places where  air tastes at its best

Exhaling air caresses your mouth

Take a small breath instead of a decent one

— hyperventilate for a while

— hyperventilate for a while

— hyperventilate for a while

— hyperventilate for a while

— hyperventilate for a while

— hyperventilate for a while

— hyperventilate for a while

— hyperventilate for a while

Stop hyperventilating and start breathing regularly

Inhale, hold your breath,

savour the air inside

This air this air this air this air this air

There is no such place as corners for you to breathe in anymore

There are no such lines you would add to these pages

Exhale

Those are places where breathing make others change ways

where the last breath is still worth taking

where I breathe only once and then leave

Cover your right nostril

I’m still looking for margins that would let you and me breathe

Breathing in tight pages makes you write on the wind

Cover your left nostril

Taking all the breath that we have had

Taking all, all the breath away away

All the breath away away

Exhale places where you no longer wish to breathe in

Inhale people you deprived from breathing

Inhale air that does not smell like air anymore

Inhale and let the air burn down your throat

Close your nostrils

Stop hyperventilating

Start short-breathing

thin air is all that remains

endure yourself, it’s only thin air

It’s only thin air among, among all that

That that fills the room with no word of it to breathe

Taking all the breath that we have

All the breath that we have

All the breath away

Mask your mouth

Breathe without a sound, you never know

That’s how you recognize those who find their ways

Their ways to breathe, as much as they can

Breathing as much as you, as you can

« To live and to breathe is no less »

Take a small breath instead of a decent one

— hyperventilate a while

— hyperventilate some time

— hyperventilate a short time

— hyperventilate and the time being

— hyperventilate     air flowing on your tongue

— hyperventilate but not really         breathe that air

— hyperventilate that air one has to breathe

Hyperventilated and confused

You dislocate your body

Relocating it to where air is rare

air is rare, rare, bare, bare, thin, thin, bleak, bleak and so

desolate
